The Accra-Takoradi highway experienced another accident, after it’s last incident in March last year which resulted to 30 people dying and few others injured.
It was gathered by local media that on the busy Ghana’s Western Region highway, the recent accident that left several people injured, claimed the lives of 34 people.
According to the report, the incident which happened at midnight in Dompoase near Komenda, had two buses colliding on the highway.
The first bus coming from Accra while trying to overtake crashed into the other coming from Takoradi heading to Accra. 29 people were reported to have died on the spot and 5 people later died at the hospital.
The police pointed out that the sad incident was due to the drivers going beyond highway speed limits and overtaking wrongly.
The tragic loss has the whole nation grieving including the President, Nana Akuffo Addo, who gave a condolence message on social media to the families who lost their Dear ones in the accident.
