ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT SET UP PEACE COMMITTEE IN IFITE-NTEJE

The committee set up to look into the land dispute at Ifite-Nteje in Oyi Local

Government Area, has organized a meeting with members of the community in a bid to garner concerted efforts towards a peaceful resolution.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Panel and Managing Director, Anambra

state Fire Service, Retired Air Vice – Marshal Ben Chiobi, reminded
the people of the need to supply the committee with facts that will enable it
conclude it’s assignment in record time.

Contributing, some members of the Panel, including Traditional Ruler

of Ukeh community, Igwe Charles Agballa, that of Okpuno, Igwe Sunday
Okafor , and his Akwaihedi counterpart, Igwe Wisdom Onebune, reminded
people of Ifite-Nteje that they are brothers, and as such should allow
peace to reign.

The committee was inaugurated by the Anambra state government on eleventh
of June, 2020, and is expected to conclude it’s assignment within
two months.
