According to recent reports by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Abba Kyari and Hushpuppi have been friends and have been involved in a money-laundering conspiracy.

Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in June 2020 on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity. He recently pleaded guilty to the multimillion-dollar fraud charges and will face up to twenty years in jail.

Abba Kyari has however come out to debunk these claims and allegations. In a recent post through his Facebook page, he said that, “nobody demanded for a kobo from Abbas Hushpuppi. Our focus was to save people’s lives that were purported to have been threatened.”
